Facilities Services Bootcamp

Course introduction

Our Facilities Services Bootcamp is a free, fully funded course for adults in the Solent region who want to start a career in facilities. You don’t need any experience to join. The course is mostly face-to-face and gives you the hands-on skills, safety training and confidence to step into your first paid job – working as a cleaner, caretaker, maintenance assistant, porter or estates operative in hospitals, schools, universities, housing and offices across the Solent.

You’ll learn in a classroom and a workshop alongside experienced tutors, with real tools, real tasks and plenty of practice. The course runs full-time over five weeks for people out of work, or part-time over twelve weeks (evenings and Saturdays) for people already in a job. Every learner who finishes the course is guaranteed a job interview with a local employer, and we support you for six months afterwards to help you settle into work.
